The 2026 Toyota HiLux WorkMate Becomes the Standard Suncamper Build Platform

At the Victorian Caravan and Camping Supershow, Suncamper unveiled the 2026 Toyota HiLux WorkMate chassis alongside its current motorhome lineup.

The HiLux WorkMate is now the standard platform for all future Suncamper builds on the HiLux. The decision reflects the WorkMate's stronger payload capacity and its suitability as a base for the composite bodywork and equipment fit-out that defines the Sherwood range.

For buyers, the practical effect is a more capable starting point without any change to the finished motorhome's drivability or licensing requirements. All Suncamper models remain car-licensed.

The Ford Ranger remains available as an alternative chassis across the Sherwood range for buyers who prefer it.
