Suncamper Named a Finalist in Three Categories at the 2026 CCIA NSW Awards of Excellence

Suncamper Motorhomes has been named a finalist in three categories at the 2026 CCIA NSW Awards of Excellence. The awards are the most significant industry recognition available to manufacturers in New South Wales, bringing together the leading names in the caravan, camping, and outdoor leisure sector each year.

Three nominations in the same year is something we have not done before.

A reflection of what this team has built and delivered over the past 12 months.

2026 Finalist Categories

01

NSW Manufacturer of the Year

Recognising product innovation, manufacturing quality, and commercial achievement across the past 12 months.

02

Outstanding Young Achiever

Connor Jones — Head of Marketing, brand, and digital across the Suncamper Group.

03

Team of the Year

The Suncamper Cabinetry Team — the trades team at the heart of every hand-built motorhome.

01

NSW Manufacturer of the Year

The Manufacturer of the Year nomination covers the full scope of what Suncamper has achieved in the past year. Every motorhome is designed, engineered, and hand-built at the Thornleigh factory and delivered factory direct to customers nationwide. That is what the nomination recognises.

Conqueror 3.0 launched

Developed over 18 months in collaboration with Ford exclusively for the Ranger Super Duty.

Fully composite construction

Improved build quality, reduced weight, and cut manufacturing waste across the entire range.

Largest commercial deal in 49 years

Negotiated and closed, opening an entirely new channel for the business.

02

Outstanding Young Achiever

Connor Jones

Connor joined Suncamper in early 2022 and now leads all marketing, brand, and digital activity across the Suncamper Group. Over the past 12 months he designed and built three websites from scratch — Suncamper Motorhomes, Made by Smidge, and Northside RV — all developed in-house with no agency involvement. He negotiated and closed the largest commercial deal in the company's history. He led the full launch campaign for the Conqueror 3.0 at the Sydney Supershow, from early teaser content through to the reveal on the floor, delivering another strong show campaign across the east coast.

Previous recognition

Connor was previously recognised with the CCIA NSW Outstanding Young Achiever Award in 2023. Being named a finalist again in 2026 reflects how much more he has taken on, and delivered, in the years since.

03

Team of the Year

The Suncamper Cabinetry Team

The cabinetry team is the heartbeat of the Thornleigh factory. Every other trade works around them, and they work around every other trade. In a hand-built motorhome, the interior fit-out does not happen in isolation. Plumbing has to be roughed in before panels can close. Electrical runs need to be chased through before benchtops go down.

What sets them apart is the customisation work. Suncamper does not sell off-the-shelf motorhomes. Customers can personalise their build, and every one of those requests — a different storage configuration, a modified benchtop, a fixture repositioned to suit how they actually travel — lands with this team. They field every single one and find a way to deliver without disrupting the production schedule.

Over the past 12 months they took on the Conqueror 3.0 interior fit-out alongside a full standard production schedule. They delivered both without either suffering. Customer feedback consistently singles out the interior finish as a standout part of owning a Suncamper. That does not happen without this group.

What comes next

Being named a finalist in three categories in one year is not something we take lightly.

The awards night is still to come, and we are looking forward to it. In the meantime, the team is doing exactly what it has always done: building motorhomes at Thornleigh and standing behind every one of them.
