Suncamper motorhome composite construction at the Thornleigh NSW factory

Build Quality

Composite Construction. Zero Timber. Zero Compromise.

Composite construction, a closed-cell foam core, and zero timber in every build. The Conqueror models add aluminium framed walls for structural rigidity. Every Suncamper is built in Thornleigh NSW.

How we build

Three decisions that change everything.

01

One-Piece Construction

Roof, walls, and floor are bonded as a single composite structure. Two fibreglass skins around a high-density closed-cell foam core, CNC-cut and precision-fitted. No joins to leak, no framework to flex.

02

No Water Ingress

Zero timber means zero rot. The closed-cell foam core does not absorb moisture. Every penetration through the composite shell is sealed twice. Water gets one route off a Suncamper, and that route is down the outside.

03

Built for Australian Conditions

Corrugated dirt tracks, wide temperature swings, salt air, and UV load. The Suncamper composite shell has been tested against all of it for more than 45 years. That is not a lab result. That is a service record.

RVMAP Accredited

Independently Audited. Every Build.

RVMAP is the Recreational Vehicle Manufacturing Accreditation Program. It is the Australian industry standard that independently audits manufacturers against strict quality and compliance requirements. Every Suncamper is RVMAP accredited, not because we have to be, but because it proves what we already know about our build.

  • Independently audited manufacturing processes

  • Full compliance with Australian RV construction standards

  • Stronger resale value and buyer confidence

Get in Touch

Inside every build

The details that matter over time.

Cabinetry

Cabinet carcasses are built from high-quality plywood, glued and screwed for rigidity. No cheap MDF or particle board. Every cabinet is built to last the distance, not just look good in the showroom.

Fresh & Grey Water Tanks

All water tanks are food-grade polyethylene, rotationally moulded and baffled to prevent surge. Tank capacities are engineered specifically for each model, not retrofitted as an afterthought.

Pre-Delivery Inspection

Every motorhome undergoes a structured pre-delivery inspection before it leaves the factory. Habitation systems, gas, water, electrical, and chassis components are all checked against a sign-off list.

Personalisation

Upholstery, cabinet colour, flooring, and soft furnishings are selected by the buyer before the build begins. You are not choosing from a display board after the fact — your selections are built in from the start.

Industry memberships

Every accreditation that matters.

Suncamper holds active membership across every major Australian RV and motor trades body. These are not honorary listings. They reflect active participation in the industry.

Factory tours

See the build process in person.

We welcome buyers into the factory to see their motorhome at various stages of the build. It is one of the better ways to understand what separates a composite build from a timber-framed alternative. Contact the team to arrange a time.

Note: the Conqueror 2.0 uses a gas-fired heating system. Buyers selecting the Conqueror 2.0 should confirm current gas certification requirements with the sales team at the time of order.

FAQs

Build quality, in plain English

Composite panels are lighter, stronger, and immune to rot. The closed-cell foam core does not absorb water, removing one of the key pathways that lead to water ingress in motorhomes over time.
